William "Bull" Flaherty
CEO & Founder
Mr. Flaherty is an energy professional, trader, and consultant with over 27 years of experience in the capital markets. He has broad-based industry knowledge of retail, institutional, and wholesale aspects of the physical and financial markets. He has industry experience in BESS, renewables, oil & gas, and power. Bull has participated in transactions representing well over $25 billion in capital for companies to grow and shape their future.
Bull is a University of Texas at Dallas graduate and resides in Houston with his wife and four children.
Ali Jamal
CFO
Mr. Jamal brings over 27 years of corporate finance and strategy experience in the energy business. A career that includes executive management of a multibillion-dollar JV, transaction experience including M&A and infrastructure deals over $9.0 billion, IPOs, monetization strategies over $4.0 billion, and capital market issuances over $2.0 billion. Ali brings a pragmatic understanding of finance and corporate strategy.
He has an MBA from Baylor and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas, Austin.
Joe Skubisz
COO & Asset Management
Mr. Skubisz brings over 25 years of experience in asset and risk management. He started his career as an option trader on the
floor of the CBOT and moved into the energy space in 2001 with Duke Energy as Head of East Power. He has been in numerous leadership positions including Integrys Energy, TXU, EDF, and, most recently, Bridgelink Commodities.
Joe graduated from the University of Illinois (C-U) where he was a 3 year football letterman.
Dr. Dayne Zimmerman
VP Structured Finance
Mr. Zimmerman brings 30 years of experience in risk management, analytics, and trading. He has 15 years of experience trading power, natural gas, and fixed income. He is an expert on energy derivatives and has taught the subject at the university level. He has held management and desk head positions at Frontier Utilities, Direct Energy, RWE, Enron, and Duke.
Dayne is a veteran of the US Nuclear Navy and holds an M.S. in Finance and a Ph.D. Structured Finance from Mississippi State University, as well as being a CFA charter holder.
Michael Roetzel
EVP Development
Mr. Roetzel brings over 25 years of experience in auditing, assurance and compliance services, and accounting system design and implementation for medium to large privately held companies.
Michael graduated from the University of Arkansas – Sam M. Walton College of Business.
J. MacDonald “Mac” Ruffeno P.E.
Civil Engineer
Mr. Ruffeno has more than 30 years of experience specializing in design and construction engineering, budgeting, scheduling, and financial management of major construction projects. His most current projects include civil site design for energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial, university, healthcare facilities, and commercial development.
Mac graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
John Flaherty
Jr Trader
Mr. Flaherty has worked as a vault clerk and sales auditor for Costco Wholesale for six years. He started in the energy sector as a trading and fundamental power analyst for Bridgelink Commodities.
John enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and rock climbing, as well as restoring classic cars. He is a B.S. in finance candidate from the University of St. Thomas.
